Pawsitively Pets was established in July 2008 to provide a reliable and friendly service to the public and their deserving pets.
Lottie, who founded Pawsitively Pets, has always had a genuine interest in the welfare and behaviour of animals as well as helping people and wanted to bring a service to people that would be appreciated and useful.
At Pawsitively Pets we want to be able to help people and their pets where possible. That means delivering pet supplies to their door, or, if preferred to their workplace, giving advice on nutrition, strength of toys, boredom busters and, of course providing training classes and one to ones at a reasonable, and affordable price.
We are currently working on getting the online shop up and running. If in the meantime there is anything you wish to order or enquire about - please don't hesitate to contact us using the 'contact' page or call 07518 667575.
Lottie got involved with dog training when she got her first Dalmatian, Takara. Takara was, to say the least, a handful and Lottie soon found herself engrossed in dog training books and attending workshops and classes with her.
Upon discovering the world of canine behaviour, Lottie decided to follow dog training as a career and left her four year course at university studying French to do just that. She has now been training dogs through her own company for 2 years.
Before starting Pawsitively Pets, Lottie volunteered at other dog training classes, watched, made notes and helped out where possible. She also found herself two online mentors who she could poke when she needed answers to her questions!
Having studied at home extensively, she started to do voluntary one to one sessions to help people with basic training problems and, when the feedback came back very positive she made the final push to start training dogs professionally.
As much as Lottie loves studying canine behaviour and figuring out why our 4 legged, toothy friends do what they do, the biggest satisfaction for her is to see a dog and owner getting on together again. She believes that by keeping costs down and caring genuinely about the person involved in the canine-human friendship she can try to help more people stay friends with their furry buddies.
When receiving a personal delivery you can expect to meet Lottie along with Takara and Bubble the two daft Dalmatians. Takara and Bubble accompany Lottie to most, if not all of her deliveries and enjoy meeting some of the customers.
If you’re very lucky, the girls may be having a day out and you can meet our six fancy rats; Millie, Mary, Mindy, Molly, Mavis and Maisie!
We’d also like to make a dedication to the wonderful members of the team who are no longer with us. In loving memory of Eddy – our beautiful liver and white spotted Dalmatian rescue boy who died at the grand age of 15 in May 2010 and our beautiful cats Smudge and Smitch who we sadly lost within a year of each other.
